Kapok Pilates and Wellness is a Registered Yoga Alliance School (200hr RYS) and this program includes a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Program. It is a unique program and will be an enlightening experience. The 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Program, embraces the 8 Limbs of Yoga and is a guide on the path of a well rounded, balanced lifestyle of body, mind and spirit. The program includes 6 - Once a month Modules/Weekend Immersions and bimonthly Wednesday evening classes. Each month will align with the Energy Vortex’s/Chakra System (Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye, and Crown), and combines philosophy with experiential. The Kapok Lifestyle and YTT Program includes Yoga Asana’s (Pose) Breakdowns , Philosophy and Lifestyle which includes exposure to gardening, Chinese Medicine and the Elements, Ayurveda, Herb and Herbal Remedies and Products, Functional Anatomy, various styles of Yoga and movement, Healing Arts including Sound Therapy, Crystals and Stones, Mindfulness and Consciousness, Intuitiveness, Meditation, Breath Work and Pranayama and Marketing and Business. For this unique program and to fulfill the requirements of the Yoga Alliance 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in order to become a Registered Yoga Teacher, it is required to complete the program in its entirety. We also welcome those interested in attending a Module without committing to the entire program. Weekend Immersion 1.
This Initial Weekend begins with the Roots of the Program, Your Being and Mother Earth including Grounding Poses, Yoga Roots, Philosophies and lifestyle aspects of Gardening, Composting, Cooking and Food as Medicine, Using Herbs in Everyday Life, Yoga Classes including Chair Yoga, Yoga Nidra (Meditation), Restorative and Yin Class
This 2nd and Sacral Module includes Sacral Chakra yoga poses, Yoga Sutras and History, Classes including Vinyasa Flow, Kundalini, Nia (dance movement class including Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance and Healing Arts), Hoola Hoop, Music, Art. Lifestyle aspects include the Elements (Water, Fire, Metal, Wood, Earth) and the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine including the directions, sounds, emotions, colors, seasons, food and how to utilize the concepts for awareness and homeostasis plus India’s Ayurvedic Medicine and Dosha philosophy. This 4th and Heart Chakra Module includes Heart Chakra Pose breakdown such as back bends.
